A Good Set of Six Mahogany Dining Chairs in the Manner of Gillows, Circa 1830 comprising four side chairs and two armchairs, each with bar backs carved with scrolling detail above a pierced central splat. The drop-in seats are upholstered in a light damask fabric, supported on turned and fluted forelegs with outswept rear supports. The armchairs with elegant scrolled arms. A fine and well-balanced set of early 19th century dining chairs, displaying the refined design associated with Gillows of Lancaster.
