Dimensions:
A striking late Victorian full-length cheval mirror of exceptional height and presence. The glass is set within a richly gilt frame, finely detailed with rope-twist and beaded mouldings. The cresting is surmounted by an exuberant carved basket of flowers, a decorative flourish typical of the period.
The mirror stands on elegant cabriole supports with acanthus scroll feet, the whole frame retaining a warm, time-worn gilt surface. Designed to tilt within its stand, this imposing piece combines practicality with decorative impact, making it equally suited to a grand bedroom, dressing room, or statement hallway.
Circa 1890.
