Eric Gabb is now displaying his abstract collection, here at our Salisbury showroom, where you will find the exhibition on our second floor here. You can view the new collection here.
Eric Gabb moved to Bath from London in 1987. The move coincided with Gabb’s return to full-time painting and sculpture after a career in Graphic Art and Advertising. His initial training at Sidcup School of Art resulted in being awarded a National Diploma in Design along with his work in advertising, in the membership of the Society of Industrial Artists. Eric’s early work was mainly figurative or portraiture for private patrons, and he exhibited in the Richmond, Putney and Wimbledon area.
Since establishing a studio in Bath, Gabb’s earlier realistic style has evolved in favour of abstraction. Using broad expanses of colour, his work now features subtlety of line and shape to express the subject and to hint at the unseen or intangible.
Eric's many local exhibitions have encouraged a continuing appreciation of his work and he is regularly invited to give talks and workshops to local art groups.
